Food Fight?

Yesterday Labon directed me to this story about the Indian military's new anti-terrorist weapon: the bhut jolokia grenade.  As you may be aware, the bhut jolokia or "ghost chili" is the world's hottest pepper.  These peppers of mass destruction register 1,000,000 scovel units.  By comparison, jalapeños top out at 8,000 scovel units.

On a number of occasions I've been tempted to purchase some of these plants or even just the dried peppers themselves online.  Now I learn that the Indian military has weaponized it.  Perhaps I don't want to try one of these after all.

Has anyone else tried em?

  1. Hey soldiers with those pepper grenades! I'm over here! Throw 'em. I'll be hiding under these briskets and butts;)

I've never tried them, but Greg at SippitySup bought some months back and still hasn't figured out how to use them.

  2. the missile gap bankrupted and tore down the Soviet block... Now we are on the short end of the pepper gap
